The DMcD Challenge is a series of back-to-back 28 day Physical Activity Games that are suitable for every member of staff. What you do is up to you.

Oopla is about creating good daily habits, managing everyday routines and trying to always dedicate a bit of time towards physical activity.

No counting steps or calories, simply log your activities such as Walk, Run, Cycle, Swim, Yoga, Workouts etc and score points, then challenge yourself how well you manage your time.

The Challenge allows everyone to compete on an equal footing, so anyone is able to take part, regardless of your current fitness ability or time availability. It's not about doing as much exercise as humanly possible, but building good habits, so everyone will find this a Challenge!

Bottom line, the aim is to meet and exceed the WHO recommended activity levels each week (approx 30 minutes per day), something that everyone should always be trying to achieve.

You will score points from taking part in your own choice of activities, so Oopla will suit every type of interest & level. It's fair game!

Each Challenge is 28 days long and there are 13 per year. You can join Oopla at any time and simply jump into the current Challenge to start playing. All scoreboards then reset every Day 1.

The primary aim of the Challenge is to help you keep active (sustainably) and to help you develop daily habits.

To climb the Leaderboard, the aim of the game is to score maximum points in minimum time, so it requires a lot of strategic thinking, daily planning & scheduling and of course, regular activity.

Simply login and go to your Activity Log using the + Symbol to add an activity manually or connect to one of the third-party connections like Strava to add activities automatically.

No, all you require is access to the internet to log your activity. You can however use a smartphone to download and use the free Strava App to record activities, these will sync automatically with Oopla. If you own a compatible fitness device (e.g. Garmin or Apple Watch), you can sync this to Strava to use with Oopla.
